Watching the news and my family, i was thinking about how strange it is that one person can effect on people in such a profound way, i guess it just goes to show how music is an extremely important part in everyone's life, connecting everyone together no matter what colour, size or shape, for this love of one thing.
It may sound cheesy or sad, but im not ashamed to admit that i shed a tear and im sure theres plenty of bloggers out there typing about their love (or hate) for this amazing musician. I have one comfort in knowing that i was alive when he was still creative, alive, making music. Because for generations to come will only see moving images, stills of this genius, whereas i, we, were there when he was here.
Love him or hate him, he was one of the most, if not THE, best musician, the best dancer, writer, singer ever to have graced this Earth and i was four weeks away from seeing him moonwalk for one last time, live.
